Every kind of debt, with the details that matter

Credit cards, car loans, mortgages, student loans, personal, business and medical debt, each with its balance, APR, minimum payment, due day and the payment you actually plan to make.

  • Promotional APRs carry an end date, and the plan switches to the regular rate that month.
  • Mortgages take term, property tax, insurance and PMI, and escrow is kept out of the payoff math so it isn't counted as paying down the loan.
  • Car loans can decode a VIN to fill in make, model and year.
  • Mark a debt as yours, joint, or someone else's in the household.

Snowball or avalanche, side by side

Snowball pays the smallest balance first; avalanche pays the highest rate first. Both are run against a minimums-only baseline, so you see the debt-free date, total interest and interest saved for each before you choose.

Extra payments that roll over

Your monthly budget stays fixed: this month's minimums plus whatever extra you add. As each debt is paid off, its payment rolls onto the next target, and any money left over in a month moves on straight away.

Warnings before they cost you

The plan names any debt that has no payment, a payment smaller than its interest (so the balance grows), a planned card payment below the card's minimum, or no end in sight. If a promotional rate ending raises a payment, the month it happens is flagged.

Month by month, down to the dollar

A timeline chart, where each month's money goes, milestones as each debt is cleared, and a ledger for every debt showing opening balance, interest, minimum, extra and closing balance. Export the whole schedule as a CSV.

Synced with your bank, if you like

Link a debt to a connected account and choose which fields stay in sync: balance, credit limit, APR, minimum payment and due date. Debts can also be imported straight from your bank, with likely duplicates of ones you entered by hand pointed out.

What it doesn't do

  • Strategies are snowball, avalanche or minimums only; there's no custom order yet.
  • Interest is modelled monthly (APR ÷ 12), not daily, so figures are close estimates rather than your issuer's exact numbers.
  • Card minimums use a common formula (1% of the balance plus interest, at least $25), not each issuer's own rule.
  • Deferred-interest promotions aren't modelled.
  • The free public calculator covers balances, rates and payments; promotional rates, escrow and VIN lookup are in the app.
